Email Verification

Checks whether email addresses are real and can receive mail, and tells you why when they cannot.

Every address gets one of five verdicts, including CATCH_ALL for domains that accept mail at any address and so cannot be confirmed individually.

This call queues a batch and returns a batch id immediately — a 200 means the batch was accepted, not that it finished, and state will be PENDING. Finished results are POSTed to your webhook, and are also readable at any time from the Email Verification Inquiry endpoint.

You are charged 0.3 credits per address when the batch is accepted. Unlike finding, you pay for every verdict — the verdict is what you are buying — and are refunded only for records we could not process at all. The X-Credit response header carries the amount charged.

The header Content-Type: application/json must be included in the request.

Body Params
string
required

Required. A publicly reachable URL we POST the finished batch to. It must answer 200 within 30 seconds. Any query string you include is preserved and sent back to you, so ?tenant=42 is a valid way to tag a batch. There is no polling-only mode — a batch cannot be submitted without a webhook.

data
array of objects
required

Required. The addresses to check. Each element is one record and is billed as one record.
